Wow it has been quite the month!!! We've had a lot of visitors (Erica, Kirk, Meg, Connie & Avery), Haley's continuing to work nights, and Andy got officially voted into BellOne! Among other things, Avery is scooting all over the place getting into everything (despite our valiant efforts to babyproof that have totally failed), she's in her big girl high chair loving to eat fingerfoods including but not limited to freeze dried fruits, cheerios, puffs, pretty much anything we put on her tray, oh and drumroll please...as of Sunday we have our first tooth poking through! it's on the bottom in the front and it's a slow grower but comin' in! We also just weighed and measured her yesterday...she's weighing in at 20lbs. and 28in! She's growing like crazy. Oh, and she's "talking" like crazy, more of little scream outbursts. Also, when she gets excited, she doesn't quite know what to do so she tenses up, turns bright red, and then lets out a huge scream. In the pictures below you'll see her first trip to the beach...Mommy wouldn't brave it alone so she brought her great friend Amy who helped with the babe. There's also a picture of the Avester meeting Katieanne (Haley's first roommate at Biola) for the first time as well as her playing in a little pool that now sits on our patio that Daddy bought (you'll learn quickly she's not the biggest fan).
Although this month has been great seeing everyone and full of adventures, it has unfortunately not been without tragedy. One of Haley's Uncles (Uncle Charlie) just passed away Sunday night from cancer that he's been fighting for a while (this is Connie's sister's husband). During his last weeks, our Uncle Roger (Connie's brother) was also diagnosed with cancer and is still deciding what treatment to choose. Please keep our family in your prayers as we go through these hard times.
