-Haley got a job at Children's Hospital in Oakland (from now on will be referred to as "Children's") where she will be working four 8 hour "PM" shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm) including every other weekend. She will be doing the exact same thing that she does at CHOC as an RN on the pediatric hematology/oncology floor (working with kids that have blood disorders and cancer)
-Andy's last day at BellOne will be Jan. 2nd
-Haley's last day at CHOC will be Jan. 3rd (followed by a goodbye party for Haley's work people at El Torito:)
-ATTN ALL SOCAL PEOPLE: because everything is happening so fast, Jan. 1st and 2nd will be a "come see the Koning's and help pack a box) 2 day party; we're hoping that all of our friends and "family" will be able to stop by to bid us farewell (look for a party invite on facebook)
-Haley will then work her last day on Monday the 3rd (while everything is packed into the U-haul at home) and we'll be driving up a U-haul as well as both of our cars on Tuesday the 4th. The U-haul will go straight to Sacramento to a wherehouse owned by the Pratt's where all of our stuff will be stored and we'll just be moving in clothes to the Pratt's house where we are TEMPORARILY staying:)
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
-we will definitely need help packing everything up as it's all happening sooooooo fast. Like we said before, we're hoping to hit it hard and packing everything up in 2 days so the more the merrier!
-put the word out in the Bay Area: we're definitely looking forward to living with the parentals but know that it will be a tight space, we will be looking for a little place to rent after we kind of figure out what our lives will look like up north, in our heads a guest house de-tached from a house type thing sounds perfect.
-entertaining our child: our child will be making the move quite difficult as she's a mover and a shaker so if you're around and not into packing boxes maybe you could take her for a bike ride!:)
-prayers are always appreciated as we embark on this journey...we're very excited but also apprehensive at what the future holds, also prayers for Andy to get a job up north.
Sorry this is so long but I know a lot of you are detail people that want to know it all, so this is what we know right now! We'll keep you updated, and we're attaching some pictures of our outing to downtown disney where we took our Christmas Photos, some of them are pretty funny!
We realized at the beginning of the "photo shoot" that this would be difficult with the babes...she's definitely entering the "terrible twos" a little early...:(
She sure had on an amazing outfit though!
She unfortunately was always trying to run away...
The only way to get her to look at the camera and smile was to tickle her, which meant not all of us were looking at the camera...
We love this one, not sure why...probably because it shows the power that a 17month old can have...woof.
Thankfully we got a good one of the two of us out of the day!:)
Ha ha, for htose of you that know our child, you know she can eat, so we introduced candy!
She was finally happy...but as you can see solely focused on the food...
Needless to say although the one on our Christmas card (which hopefully all of you received) was not perfect, it was the best of the day as the Avester grows up and gets more and more attitude, we'll see how the pics go!:)
