Addendum...

So at the end of every nursing shift at Children's you have to write a nursing note (something of the past yes but for some reason we're still hand writing them, like on paper, in a real chart) and if you forget to write something but have already signed your name you simply write the word "addendum" and then add whatever needs to be added...therefore i'm "addenduming" my Myla Bea story, solely for dramatic effect and mainly (once again) for those that understand medical terms because in reading it, I realized I left out some drama:)

Addendum: During my first dramatic fainting episode, you know the one where they quickly put me flat, gave me oxygen, etc., they also gave me a 2 liter bolus of lactated ringers and promptly started a 2nd IV (this was done by some random nurse called into the room to help, she was in such a hurry she forgot to put on the T-connector so it really did us no good). Then came the bad news, they started a bag of pitocin. I begged and pleaded for them to stop it, but they insisted upon it saying that everyone got one, RUDE! I didn't believe them for a second:) But what could I do? I got 2 bags of that stuff...I hate pitocin. -----------------------------------Haley J. Koning, RN

And that's my whole addendum, hope you enjoyed;)
